SET C: Let’s Get Physical
Today’s workout lets us practice several kicks and escapes together. Beginning with the ginga, we then practice 3 different kicks that each engage the major leg muscles in a different way. Taking each kick step by step, we’ll gradually build up to applying the kick as it would used in the capoeira game. Grab a chair or stool to stand in the place of a player who you would be kicking over in a face-to-face game. Remember to approximate the movements as best you can, stay in motion, and practice each part of the kick or escape as much as you need to.
